Day 1 – San Cristóbal de las Casas

  • Arrival at San Cristóbal de las Casas

Day 2 – Sumidero Canyon and Chapa de Corzo

  • Excursión at Sumidero Canyon and Chapa de Corzo:
  Enjoy a guided tour visiting the Sumidero Canyon, a protected area at the Federal level since 1980, is a magnificent geological landscape located in central depression of the State. Here, granite cliffs and walls with a height of over a thousand meters surround the cause of the Grijalva River. Then, we’ll discover the small village of Chapa de Corzo, where you will learn more about the local traditions.  
  • Return to the hotel and time at Leisure
   

Day 3 – Native Communities and City Tour

  • Excursion to native communities of Zinacatan and San Juan Chamula and City Tour:
  •   Going to the mountains you will discover the native communities of Zinacatan and San Juan Chamula, you can learn about the native people and their traditions, and watch the laborious handcrafts of the weaver women, who, with a loom at their waists, produce magnificent textile pieces, including tablecloths, bedspreads, cushion covers and traditional huipiles, called “ponchos”. Later on you will enjoy a City Tour in San Cristobal de las Casas, visiting the Santo Domingo church and a typical local market.  
    • Back to the hotel and time at Leisure.

    Day 4 - Agua Azul Falls - Palenque

  • Excursion to Agua Azul Falls and Palenque ruins:
  •   Early morning you will depart to the spectacular Agua Azul falls, the most fascinating area in the mountains located between Palenque and Ocosingo. The “Cascadas de Agua Azul” (Spanish for “Blue Water Waterfall”) are found near the Municipality of Tumbalá, in the middle of the Chiapas rainforest and consists of many cataracts following one after another, as part of the “Cascadas de Agua Azul Natural Park”. The larger cataracts may be about 6 meters (20 ft.) high.  Later discover Palenque, one of the best archaeological sites of the country. Located on the first rise of the mountains, the site looks out over the Usumacinta River flood plain. Here you’ll be confronted by the largest Mesoamerican step pyramid, the Temple of Inscriptions, spotted with hieroglyphics that have contributed significantly to the study of Mayan civilization.  
    • Transfer to the hotel and time at Leisure.

    Day 5 - Palenque - Campeche

    • Morning Time at Leisure.
    • Transfer on Bus from Palenque to Campeche
    • Accomodation at downtown hotel.

    Day 6 – Campeche – Merida

    • Morning Time at Leisure.
    • Transfer on Bus from Campeche to Merida
    • Accomodation at downtown hotel.

    Day 7 – Uxmal – Kabah – Merida

    • Excursion to the ruins of Uxmal and Kabah:
      Both archaeological sites are part of the famous “Ruta Puuc”. Uxmal is considered the most important Mayan city of the area, hosting the famous temple “La Casa del Adivino”, the three-dimensional masks of the god Chaac, colonnades, the two-headed jaguar, and other iconographic symbols. Kabah is famous for the entrance to the Sacbé, the palace, the arch and different monuments built with beautiful stonework.  
    • Transfer to the hotel and evening time at Leisure.

    Day 8 – Merida – Chichen Itza – Playa del Carmen ( or Cancun )

    • Excursion to the ruins of Chichen Itza:
      Absolutely the most visited archaeological site in the peninsula of Yucatan, due to its extraordinary architecture beauty and its geographical location, Chichen Itza was one of the greatest Mayan centers of the Yucatán peninsula. The fusion of Mayan centers construction techniques with new elements from central Mexico make Chichen Itza one of the most important examples of the Mayan – Toltec civilization in Yucatan. Several buildings have survived, such as the Warriors’ Temple “El Castillo” and the circular observatory known as “El Caracol”  
    • Transfer on Bus from Chichen Itza to Playa del Carmen ( or Cancun )
